An all-star line up of musicians perpetuating the music from the most famous and finest jazz club in the world - The Ronnie Scott's Jazz Orchestra.
The Ronnie Scott’s Orchestra is quite simply the best big band available in the United Kingdom today.
In its two year tenure at the world famous Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in the heart of London, the band has gained an incredible reputation for presenting big band jazz of all types. Noted for its stunning recreations of the great big bands of the past, the band can also speak with its own contemporary voice, and has on occasion backed international artists such as Curtis Stigers, Marti Pellow, Ronnie Cuber and Peter Grant.
As a repertory band, the orchestra has presented full two-hour programmed concerts featuring the work of Benny Goodman, Tubby Hayes, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Maynard Ferguson, Machito, Buddy Rich, Quincy Jones, Harry James, Woody Herman, and Stan Kenton.

“CORPORATE PARTY POWER SET”
Pretty much as it sounds, a show built largely around the vocal talent if Georgina and Iain Mackenzie. One one-and-a-half hour set of very carefully selected big band tracks guaranteed to keep the floor full. As well as the very best of the Rat Pack, expect to hear such anthems as “Fever”, “Mad About The Boy”, Valerie” and many others, including our unique and famous gospel-funk reading of “Summertime”
“100 YEARS OF BENNY”
To celebrate the centenary of the birth of Swingdom’s most famous bandleader, a portrait of Benny Goodman and his music through his career. “DIZZY AT THE APOLLO”
An amazing re-creation of one of the incredible 1947 appearances of the Dizzy Gillespie Big Band at the Apollo Theatre Harlem, where swing, be-bop and salsa all collided on stage for the first time! To celebrate Dizzy’s 90th birthday, it is a concert of constant contrast, where virtuosity, cutting edge harmony and melody, explosive be-bop vocalisations, hard driving swing and groovy latin are all mixed together with a large dash of Dizzy’s wily humour. For best results, order a side helping of dancers
“COLE PORTER MEETS GLENN MILLER”
Have done this one in Dubai. Can’t go wrong, if you are aiming at a general music audience. One Set of all the Cole Porter classics, one set of everybody’s favourite Glenn Miller hits. Band features the London Voices, a four-man harmony group in the style of Miller’s original Modernaires, for that extra sparkle.
“KAROAKE”
Why not incorporate a Karoake feature in either the 'Corporate Party' or 'Porter / Miller' programmes? Re-named 'Classy Oke' it gives 4 or 5 singers the opportunity to sing live with an international orchestra. Singer Iain MacKenzie routines the volunteers with a keyboard and menu of songs then each sings a chosen song with Iain always there to give a helping hand.
