Celebrating the music from arguably the most influencial drummer of all time - Gene Krupa's 'Glory Days' with Anita O'Day and Roy Eldridge.

Gene Krupa was a drumming phenomenon - a wildly extrovert showman with Hollywood good looks who became one of the greatest stars of the swing era. This performance will feature highlights of his career from the late 20’s through to the glory days with Benny Goodman and his own band (with Anita O’Day and Roy Eldridge as its stars). In the 50’s and 60’s he led numerous successful bands and became an inspiration and a big influence on a younger generation of drummers. Sing Sing Sing was recently voted by the readers of Modern Drummer as the greatest drum solo of all time.
