The history behind Artistes Personal Management:
Following three years in an army band and six years as a professional jazz trumpet player in the Dick Charleworth and His City Gents band, Robert Masters joined the Robert Stigwood Organisation, later becoming a director. He headed the agency division and managed hit groups Atomic Rooster and The Marbles (cousins of the Gibb Brothers) as well as representing The Bee Gees, Cream, Rory Gallagher, The Foundations, The Who and Jeff Beck.
Robert left the Stigwood group in 1969 and formed a company with Billy Gaff who managed Rod Stewart. Two years after this Robert formed Artistes Personal Management to return to his musical roots of jazz and jazz based music.
